The persistent chip shortage does not seem to have subsided which is affecting various industries around the world. It has not only affected the production of smartphones and cars but also the camera market as has been the case with Sony.
Sony has previously announced that they have suspended sales for the Sony a7 II, a6400 and a6100 Series cameras. Now another model that will receive the same fate is the Sony ZV-E10 which is a mirrorless camera model specifically for vlogging that was just launched last August.
The company stated that the suspension was due to a lack of chips, which caused delays in procuring components.
The delay of this camera model was also affected in Malaysia when most of the Sony camera models were “Sold Out”, especially at Shopee and Lazada.
